INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Charges have been dropped against a 21-year-old gang member who was accused of shooting and killing a woman back in 2012.

Detectives said Dominique Williams was arrested and formally charged with murder and criminal gang activity on June 6.

On Wednesday, a judge ordered a motion to dismiss both charges against Williams.

Homicide detectives said community tips helped them identity Williams as one of several suspects who apparently fired a gun into a home and killed 25 year-old Sierra Bradberry in May of 2012.

Police said Bradberry and her family members and friends were at a home in the 3200 block of North New Jersey Street for a “celebration of life” gathering when Williams and several others fired numerous shots into the home. Bradberry was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Officials said “evidentiary problems” led to the dismissal of the charges.
