One injured after school bus, car crash on south side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police said one person was injured after a school bus and a car crashed on the city’s south side Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a car heading southbound on Meridan Street, near E. Southport Road, hit a curb and then hit a school bus shortly before 2 p.m.

The bus was headed to pick up kids from a local high school. No kids were on the bus a the time and there was minimal damage to it, according to officers at the scene.

Police said one person was taken to the hospital following the crash.
