Man found shot in car that crashed on east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police in Indianapolis say they are investigating an overnight shooting on the city’s east side at two different scenes.

Police haven’t released information on what led up to the shooting. Officers say a vehicle crashed through a fence in a yard near North Lasalle and East St. Clair streets early Friday morning.

Police say a man got out of the vehicle and had multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in an unknown condition.

Officers say they found two other men hurt a block away — that’s where they think the car came from.

Police say one man had an ankle injury and another had a head injury. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
