KOKOMO. Ind. (WISH) – On Monday police arrested an 18-year-old woman for forcing her father out of a moving vehicle then leaving the scene on Sunday evening.

Police say Alexis Kerschner got into an argument with her father Michey Wohlford on Sunday at 10:40 p.m. on St. Dennis Court. The argument was about a custody issue.

24-Hour News 8’s news partners at the Kokomo Tribune say Kerschner tried to drive away in her 1997 Mercury Cougar and backed into a parked car. No damage was done to the parked car.

The father and another man tried to stop Kerschner from driving away, but they were unsuccessful.

Wohlford tried to get in the passenger seat of the car. Then Kerschner struck Wohlford throwing him to the ground. He was taken to Community Howard Regional Health for road rash and neck and back pain.

Kershchner was arrested on Monday for criminal recklessness with a vehicle and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
