Speeding driver found with stolen tools

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A routine traffic stop on Interstate 70 Tuesday morning ended with two arrests for stolen property.

Just before 8 a.m., an Indiana State Police trooper pulled over an SUV near the 3 mile marker for going 81 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The trooper found a large amount of stolen tools inside the vehicle. Officials report the two men were traveling from Michigan to Illinois and the tools had been stolen overnight from Ewing Electric, Inc. in Michigan.

The two men were arrested for possession of stolen property.
