ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – A woman who admitted bringing a gun to her son’s school has pleaded guilty.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Anderson Herald Bulletin, in a court proceeding Tuesday, Bonnie Trahan, 28, admitted bringing the gun to her son’s school back in April.

Court records show Trahan faces a felony charge in the case and will be sentenced to 18 months on probation.  The court added stipulations that she not consume alcohol, get a high school equivalency certification, find employment, take gun safety courses and enroll in anger control classes.

According to reports, Trahan pulled out a gun and threw it on a table at a meeting at St. Mary’s School.

Trahan admitted to bringing in the gun, saying she forgot she had it. She said she pulled it out during the meeting to prove how easy it was to bring a gun to school. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
