JOHNSON COUNTY (WISH) – Several school districts are struggling to find anyone wanting to run for their school board.

In Clark-Pleasant, Franklin and Edinburgh school districts, no one has filed to fill all the seats that are up for election this fall. Local and state election officials tell 24-Hour News 8’s news gathering partners at the Johnson County Daily Journal that is exceedingly rare.

In Boone County four seats were empty for the Waster Boone Community School Corp, Board. 24-Hour News Partners at the Lebanon Reporter say the school board members will be picked in the November 4 general election.

No one has filed to fill seats in Clinton, Harrison, Jackson and Sugar Creek townships according to the Boone County Clerk’s Office. In Boone County candidates can file until noon on Friday.
