Second suspect sought after incident in Beech Grove city park

BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Beech Grove say two subjects are responsible for a incident in the city park on August 10.

Police were searching for Maurice Love and Jorel Simpson after an incident on August 10, in which a hand gun was used in the city park. Police say that no one was injured during the incident were the firearm was recklessly fired. However, a bullet did enter a home at the edge of the park.

On Monday Beech Grove Police Special Response Team located Love in Indianapolis. A third person was interviewed and released at a separate address.

Police were still looking for Simpson.

Felony handgun and felony battery charges were filed for Love. Simpson is preliminarily charged with felony criminal recklessness and felony handgun charges.

Anyone who knows of Simpson’s whereabouts should contact police.
