WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A 5-year-old boy drowned in a bathtub near Monticello on Wednesday, according to police.

Police said a family member found Ian Davidson in the tub not breathing inside of a home at 1118 W. Hanawalt Road. A neighbor, who also happens to be a paramedic, came over and started CPR on the child.

Davidson was taken to Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello and later transferred by Lifeline Helicopter to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was pronounced dead early Thursday morning.

Davidson’s parents, Eric Davidson, 33, and Julia Moore, 25, were at the home when the boy drowned, according to police.

Investigators said this is an ongoing death investigation and no charges have been filed as of Thursday evening.

Officials did an autopsy on Davidson on Thursday and said results are pending.
