Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Marion Co.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Boone, Hendricks and Marion County until 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is also in place for northern Indiana until 12 a.m. Friday.

Thorntown officials confirmed there were dime-sized hail and straight line winds in the area around 10:20 p.m. Thursday.

Duke Energy reports thousands are without power as of 11:30 p.m. Thursday. More than 1,200 people were without power in the New Castle area and 1,300 people were without power in the Wayne County area.

There are also 338 people without power in Grant City, 101 people without power in Thorntown, 196 people without power east of Russiaville, and 126 people without power north of Boyleston.
