I-69 back open in Grant County after flooding

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — According to the Indiana State Police, I-69 in Grant County was shut down for several hours Friday morning.

The interstate was closed between the 263 and 265 mile markers in both directions due to flooding from heavy rainfall.

Traffic was diverted off the Interstate in Huntington County at the 273 mile marker. All lanes of I-69 were re-opened around 10:30 a.m.

Motorists are urged to take alternate routes of travel and to avoid areas of high water.
