One dead after car found flipped over in Warren Co.

WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on S. River Road in Warren County.

According to the Warren County Sheriffs Office, a report came in at 10:30 a.m. of a vehicle spotted flipped and over mostly hidden in shrubbery just off S. River Road. Once emergency crews arrived, the male driver inside the car was pronounced dead on scene.

The vehicle was traveling south bound on S. River Road, when deputies said for unknown reason it left the roadway and landed in shrubbery knocking down several trees in the crash.

It is unknown at this time when the crash actually occurred because the vehicle was hidden in shrubs. Detectives are continuing to investigate the answer to that question, among others.

According to deputies, drugs and alcohol may be factors in the crash. Authorities added that rain may have been a contributing factor.

No information on the victim is being released at this time.
