INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Four years after his disappearance, the family of Michael Summers is holding out hope that someone will come forward with information.

Family members gathered tonight at Bryants Friendly Inn Tavern on S. East Street. That was the last place Summers was seen.

They lit candles and said a prayer in his memory. His sister says her brother was featured on a website launched by IMPD last year, but they still have not been able to find her brother.

“They come up with leads, they check them out, they turn out to be nothing. But somebody knows something, we just wish they would come forward so we could have some sort of closure,” said Wanda Jacobson.

There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to finding Summers.

Summers was 44 years old at the time of his disappearance. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
