HENDRICKS COUNTY (WISH) – A Hendricks County Sheriff’s Deputy was in the right place at the right time overnight.

Around midnight, he was heading east near the 9100 block of West 10th Street, just inside the Marion County line. As he was about to turn around at a Marathon gas station, he saw a man running from the station. Then someone else ran out saying it had been robbed.

The deputy chased the suspect and used a stun gun to get the man to stop. The suspect was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

Police did not say what the man took from the station, but he was armed with some kind of weapon. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
