Organizers finalizing plans for WARMfest 2014

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Organizers of a newer festival in Indianapolis hope to reach even more people with a message in its second year.

They’re finalizing plans for WARMfest at Broad Ripple Park over Labor Day Weekend. The name itself describes what you can expect from the festival.

WARM stands for White River Arts Recreation and Music. Those are the tools organizers say they will use to promote the White River and how it can be enjoyed by more people.

“We have a mission to promote local businesses, environmental responsibility and community health and wellness with a vision towards the revitalization of the water front in Broad Ripple is the way we look at it,” WARMfest organizer Dan Ripley said.

WARMfest runs August 29 through Labor Day Monday. For more information click here. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
