Storms pop up amid heat, humidity

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Storms developed north of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon as heat and humidity lingered in Central Indiana.

Forecast 8 Meteorologist Robb Ellis said the line of storms in northern Indiana will continue drifting south, bringing the possible of strong to severe storms. The storms could bring gusty wind and and large hail. Pea sized hail was reported in Lafayette.

It’s the second consecutive day of 90-degree temperatures in Central Indiana.
