INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Butler University is telling their freshmen they “care.”

“The community of Care” campaign is a new way the school is educating students about underage drinking. Their first message is: you don’t have to drink.

They say 50 percent of Butler students don’t. But if students choose to, they want to make sure they know what to if something goes wrong, and who to call for help.

“Ultimately the students are the ones that are going to be around these social functions and it’s up to them to make sure that everyone wakes up tomorrow morning,” said Adam Dietz Red Cup Culture Facilitator.

Wednesday was the first day of class for freshmen. They followed up class with a video and seminar with “I Care” staff members.
