MARION, Ind. (WISH) – Three teens are behind bars in the city of Marion, after police say they broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman living there.

Police arrested Nytarian Callahan, 17, and two 15-year-olds, on 12 counts of rape, and one of burglary, conspiracy to commit rape and robbery.

Police say the incident occurred on West 38th Street on July 15. They say it occurred around the same time they saw a rash of burglaries on the south side of Marion.

Court documents show police say the three broke into the home first through a window, then repeatedly sexually assaulted the woman inside the home, while her children slept. She told police she asked the suspects not to wake or hurt her children.

Marion Police increased patrols in the area, and say a tip, along with DNA evidence from the scene led to the charges and arrests.

Callahan was automatically waived to adult court, while the 15-year-olds are awaiting hearings for waiver of consideration.

Police also arrested a fourth suspect for property that was stolen during the burglary and rape. David Dominguez, 23, faces charges of possession of stolen property, obstruction of justice and false reporting.
