INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man was sentenced to 45 years on Thursday for the murder of a man in an Indianapolis apartment complex back in October 2013.

Police said Christopher West, 32, of Indianapolis, was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of robbery, criminal confinement and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. He was sentenced to 45 years in the DOC.

Officers arrested West about a month after David Williamson, 35, of Indianapolis, died. Williamson was shot to death in his apartment located in the Pangea Hills apartment complex on the city’s west side.

Police said the motive for the deadly shooting was robbery.

Michelle Williams, 37, of Indianapolis, was also arrested in connection to Williamson’s murder. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
