INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Dozens of people gathered at the Southside Harley Davidson at Southport and Emerson Avenue on Saturday for the annual Trooper Bartram Memorial Ride.

Trooper Pat Bartram was a 10-year veteran with Indiana State Police when he was killed in the line of duty in 1998 in Morgan County.

Proceeds from the event go to help Indiana State Police give needy families and kids a Christmas they will remember.

“Trooper Bartram was one of those who took the kids shopping for Christmas, so this was a way of honoring him and some of the other guys that have fallen in the line of duty,” ISP Trooper Patrick Etter said.
