One person killed in head-on crash in Madison Co.

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — One person died when two vehicles hit each other head-on late Friday night, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.

The cars collided around 11 p.m. Friday near the intersection of State Road 38 and County Road 675 West.

A driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene, the sheriff’s department said. The name of that victim will be released by the Madison County Coroner’s Office following an autopsy.

Police said Kenneth Williams, 49, was taken to a hospital in Noblesville before being flown by medical helicopter to IU Health Methodist Hospital. Williams suffered serious injuries, according to officers.

The Madison County Accident Team is continuing to investigate the crash, police said.
