Westfield police identify attempted robbery suspects

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – Police arrested one man in connection to an attempted robbery at a Westfield Kroger last week. A second man who was involved is still at large.

According to officers, just before 4 a.m. on August 21, a delivery driver saw a man crouching behind a woodpile at the Kroger Gas Station located at 17447 Carey Road.

When the driver asked the man what he was doing, two men emerged from the woodpile and demanded the driver’s money. Detectives say there was a brief struggle, but the driver was able to get away and call 911.

Police arrested Lawrence Clark on a strong armed robbery charge on August 28.

Police issued a warrant for the second suspect, Dionta Bonner, on August 29.
