JAY COUNTY (WISH/AP) – The Jay County Coroner has confirmed that a body was found at the Jay County Conservation Club.

The remains were found on Monday.

The Jay County Prosecutor said they think the remains are those of 25-year-old Brianna DiBattiste of Dunkirk.  However, the identity of the remains will take several weeks to be confirmed.

DiBattiste was last seen by her mother on June 16. A multi-department investigation has included searches of a house in nearby Muncie, a nature preserve in Grant County and locations in Henry County. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
