INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Former U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett sounded a lot like a candidate on Tuesday night.
He has not officially thrown his hat into the ring for mayor of Indianapolis, but he has formed an exploratory committee.
And that committee has a new headquarters, at 445 North Pennsylvania Street.
In a short but fiery speech Tuesday, Hogsett challenged the audience to think about the possibilities.
“I believe that we can make this a safer city in which to raise our families and have them grow with peaceful neighborhoods and great neighborhoods throughout Indianapolis, that’s what I believe, do you,” Hogsett said.
Hogsett thanked supporters who came out, and said it would take thousands more like them to move the city forward. No word yet on when he’ll make a formal announcement.
