INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Eagledale Neighborhood Association held an appreciation dinner to show police, firefighters and emergency responders how much they appreciate what they do for Indianapolis.

It’s the 14th year for the annual dinner. This year’s event was the biggest yet.

“These guys don’t get the credit they deserve. They put their life on the line for us everyday, so we can live the life that we live and they don’t even know whether they’re going to go home at night,” Jim Martin, Eagledale Neighborhood Association president, said.

Everyone at the dinner loaded up on home-cooked specialties and donated treats. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
