Police look for suspect in Clay Co. triple stabbing

CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Early Sunday morning Clay County officials responded to a call at Dietz Lake just off of State Road 46 for reports of three people stabbed.

When police arrived, it was determined three campers had non-threatening stab wounds. Witnesses stated a male subject was lying on the ground, face down, and when the victims approached him there was a struggle and they were injured. The witnesses said the suspect ran from the scene to an unknown location in the park.

One victim was taken to Regional Hospital to be treated for her injuries, another was taken by a personal vehicle to be treated for his injuries and the third was treated at the scene.

Officials report the suspect was described as a white male with short hair wearing blue jeans and a light colored t-shirt.
