FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Police said a woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a car in a Fishers neighborhood Thursday night.
According to police, the accident happened at the entrance of Sunblest Farms neighborhood, near Lantern Road and Turin Court, around 7:30 p.m.
The driver, Sarah Suber, 23, told police she was driving westbound on Turin Court when she became distracted and took her eyes off the road. Kimbra Moore, 59, was walking southbound across Turin Court when she was hit by Suber’s car.
Police said Suber immediately stopped and helped Moore. Suber was also cooperative with officers at the scene.
Moore was taken to Methodist Hospital with head injuries. As of Thursday night, police said Moore suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Fishers police.
