INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Tuesday night, graduates of the Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services Recruit Academy raised their right hand, and vowed to serve the city.
Taking the oath symbolized the end of the recruits’ probationary period. And, many friends, family and mentors were on hand to show their support.
The group was also presented with their badges, name plates and ranks for their uniforms.
Several of the graduates are also members of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department who have taken on a part-time role with IEMS following their completion of EMT class.
