INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Former U.S. attorney Joe Hogsett picked up an endorsement for Mayor of Indianapolis Tuesday, even though he hasn’t yet officially said he’s a candidate.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said he supports a Hogsett run for Mayor in 2015. Hogsett was at the Curry announcement.
As U.S. attorney Hogsett often worked with Curry in cases involving accused criminals in Marion County.
Curry was asked about his decision to announce the endorsement, even though Hogsett isn’t yet officially a candidate.
“I’m a trial attorney. And lots of times in trials, we have to put together circumstantial evidence. My circumstantial evidence would indicate that this is going to happen. But that’s Mr. Hogsett’s call,” said Terry
Hogsett still didn’t declare, but said he and Curry have worked together for the past four years and believes they would work together well in the future.
