Alert system helps police locate missing juveniles

MORRISTOWN, Ind. (WISH) – Two juveniles were quickly found with the help of an emergency management system.

The two juveniles went missing at 5:25 Sunday evening from Locus Street, according to 24-Hour News 8’s news partners at Shelbyville News.

The Shelby County EMA Nixel Alert System sent out a message after a security camera at Morristown Elementary revealed their direction of travel.

The 12 and 11-year-old were seen by a resident who got the Nixel alert, said Morristown Deputy Marshal Brad Trittipo.

The juveniles were located and returned to their parents.
