KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  A woman is in serious condition after being stabbed several times at her home in Warsaw Tuesday night. Police are now looking for her husband.

Deputies were called to the Green Acres Mobile Home Park on East County Road 200 North just before 6:00 p.m. on a report of a stabbing. Viviana Arias, 28, was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The suspect was identified as Arias’ husband, Avundio Lozano, 35. Officers said he reportedly left the scene driving the couple’s white, Toyota 4-door, with Illinois license plates. He was last seen northbound on County Road 175 East.

Kosciusko County deputies located the vehicle in the town of Leesburg a short time later, but no one was inside.

Medics took Arias to Kosciusko Community Hospital in serious condition. She suffered defensive cuts on her arms as well as a puncture wound to her face.

Investigators said an initial investigation determined that Arias and Lozano got into an argument that escalated inside their mobile home. Lozano allegedly took a kitchen-style knife and began to stab his wife.

Anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Avundio Lozano is asked to call either the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department at 574-267-5667 or Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP.
