Northside Nights with Late Harvest Kitchen and North End BBQ

Chef Ryan Nelson of Late Harvest Kitchen and North End BBQ whips up Sticky Toffee Pudding  and a few other dishes you’re going to love.

Northside Nights from Monday, Sept. 15 – Sunday, Sept. 28 is an oppotunity for diners will be able to experience culinary delights from independent and upscale chain restaurants during During the two-week event. Guests will be able to take advantage of three-course, value-priced menus from an anticipated 45 eateries.

Late Harvest Kitchen Sticky Toffee Pudding

7 oz Butter (room temperature)

3 Eggs

2 ¼ cup White Sugar

1 Tablespoon Baking Powder

1 Tablespoon Vanilla

Mix all of the above ingredients together.

2 ½ cup Chopped Dried Dates

3 ½ cup Water

1 Tablespoon Baking Soda

Boil all of the above ingredients together.

Combine all ingredients and mix well

Bake at 275 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Toffee Sauce

1 Stick Butter, Unsalted

¾ cup Brown Sugar

¾ cup Heavy Cream

Combine the butter and the sugar and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 3 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat and slowly add the heavy cream, stirring continually. The sauce will develop a glossy sheen. Serve with either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
