TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) – The Indiana State University student arrested in connection to a shooting threat on campus appeared in court Monday morning.
Nineteen-year-old Rashon Marshall-Bowen of Indianapolis faces a misdemeanor count of harassment.
ISU Public Safety arrested her on Friday in connection to Wednesday night’s post that referenced a campus shooting to the social media site Yik Yak.
At Monday’s hearing, Marshall-Bowen told the judge she would hire a lawyer and return to court on Oct. 29.
Marshall-Bowen faces up to 180 days in jail if convicted. The judge ordered that she have no contact with Indiana State University.
