Man who killed, robbed gas station clerk sentenced to 110 years

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis man who robbed and murdered a gas station clerk last year was sentenced to 110 years behind bars on Friday.

Shayne Thompson pleaded guilty to murder and robbery on August 15 after he killed a gas station clerk at the BP/Rickers on 38th Street and High School Road on September 25, 2013.

He also pleaded guilty to burglary, robbery and five counts of criminal confinement for his role in a home invasion on Indy’s east side in September of 2013.

On Friday, Thompson was sentenced to 110 years for both crimes.

Officials said Ryan Clark and Janai Hudson were also charged in in the gas station robbery and murder. Clark was convicted by jury of robbery and resiting law enforcement for his role in the robbery and Hudson will be sentenced on October 10.
