COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Officials say a woman running the Mill Race half marathon in Columbus was hospitalized after the race.
Police say 32-year-old Amber Pendleton may have suffered heat stroke.
Medical officials tell The Republic, Pendleton was taken to a medical station where her body temperature registered 105 degrees.
Pendleton had finished the half marathon in 2:18:26 when she was helped across the finish line.
She was last listed in critical condition at Columbus Regional Hospital.
