Car falls on top of two men in Danville

DANVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Two people were injured on Monday night after a car fell on top of them.

Danville’s Chief of Police William Wright told 24-Hour News 8 one man was taken by medic to a local hospital, while another was flown to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.

According to the chief a car fell on the men in the 100 block of West Marion Street in Danville while they were working on a van.

The son of one of the victims told us he came running when he heard calls for help. He said he tried to use the jack, but it wasn’t working properly. A woman next door called 911.

Others came to help rescue the man.

“They were able to lift up the van enough to where I could drag my dad that was unconscious, not breathing, out from underneath the van,” said  the man’s son Shon Jones.

Jones says he gave his dad CPR.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately clear. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
