EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The White House confirms President Barack Obama will travel to southwestern Indiana on Friday.
A White House official in an email Monday evening said only that Obama will travel to the Evansville area of Friday and that further details will be provided in the coming days.
WFIE-TV quotes White House officials as saying Obama will fly to Evansville Regional Airport and then go to a business in Gibson County, directly north of Evansville.
An airport spokeswoman told WFIE it has been contacted by planners for Air Force One, the jet the president travels on.
