Suspect from gas station robbery surrenders

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A man walked into the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department Monday morning wanting to turn himself in for a robbery.

The Speedway gas station at 3150 Conner St. in Noblesville was robbed shortly after midnight Monday morning.

The clerk told officers she was robbed at gunpoint. The employee said a man armed with a black handgun came into the store and demanded cash from the register. The robber took cash and two cartons of cigarettes before leaving the store.

Noblesville Police Department arrested Gary Pierce, 22, at the sheriff’s department after he said he wanted to surrender. He was jailed on two preliminary charges of armed robbery and being held on $25,000 bond.
