Group protests new Fashion Mall fur store

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Visitors of the Fashion Mall on Wednesday may notice a small demonstration.

A group identifying itself as the Indiana Animal Rights Alliance said it plans to be at the Fashion Mall until 8 p.m. protesting a fur store.

According to the group’s Facebook page, people are holding signs with anti-fur messages, including, “Fur coats are a symbol of suffering and death.”

The store being protested is called Day Furs. According to the Day Furs Facebook page, the store officially opened Wednesday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
