FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Police said a 10-year-old student was hurt after an incident at the HSE Foundation Of Characteristics Unique to Success School in Fishers on Wednesday.

Fishers Police Department officials said a teacher at the school pulled an alarm in a classroom because the student was apparently physically assaulting her and she needed help. The school was immediately placed on lockdown.

A school resource officer responded and found the boy running out of the room and down the hallway.

Several officers chased after the student and at one point, an officer tripped and fell, landing on top of the student. Police said the student suffered facial injuries.

FPD determined there was no wrongdoing in this incident and no criminal charges were filed against the student.
