Names released in Megabus accident

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – State Police have identified several passengers hurt after a Megabus overturned on I-65 early Tuesday morning.

Officials say 22-year-old Logan Thompson, of Columbus, was driving on I-65 northbound when his Saturn struck the cable barriers. Thompson’s car stopped with the rear of the car in the right lane.

A witness told police the Megabus, driven by Randall Flowers, 37, of Illinois, hit the rear of the Saturn with the front of the bus.

The bus went into the median, struck the cable barriers and overturned.

Seven people were transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital:

1. Rosetta Sullivan, 44, of Illinois
2. Hong Thu Le, 20, of Tennessee
3. Valerie, 41, of Illinois
4. Lennel S. Sorrels, 33, of Illinois
5  Dina Allen, 43, of Illinois
6. Tatianna Johnson, 19, of Illinois
7. Mashour Hamad M. Alqahtan, 30, no town listed

Seven people were transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital:

1. Paul Blackman, 23, of Georgia
2. Logan Thompson, 22, of Indiana
3. Melvan Beamer, 29, of Minnesota
4. Stacy Melson, 46, 0f Kentucky
5. Mattie Johnson, no age listed, of Illinois
6. Shanice Joyner, 19, of Illinois
7. Krystal Akons, 44, of Illinois

Four people were transported to Johnson County Memorial Hospital:

1. Manu Misra, 30, of Illinois
2. Vanessa Akons, 49, of Illinois
3. Andre Lindsey, 25, of Illinois
4. Angela Mithell, 49, of Illinois

35 people were transported to St. Francis Hospital by another Megabus for observation. They did not report any injuries.

Police say the accident is still under investigation.
