CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A Shoe Sensation had a scare on Tuesday morning shortly after opening when an attempted robbery occurred.

Police say a Shoe Sensation Manager was the only employee in the store when a man entered the store demanding cash. The robber told the manager to open the cash drawer, but she never opened the drawer.

The robber acted like he was reaching for a gun and threatened to kill her, said the manager. The manager told the man she was going to call police if he didn’t leave.

Police described the man as a white male in his early 20s. He was wearing a jeans and a sweatshirt. The manager said the man was about 6 feet tall and had short hair, “almost bald.”

Police believe the man might be responsible for other robberies in the Crawfordsville area.

Crawfordsville Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department will continue to investigate the attempted robbery. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
