INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A lawsuit has been filed stating that faulty windshield wipers are to blame for a Megabus crash on Tuesday.

The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday on behalf of four passengers after dozens of people were injured on I-65 near Greenwood.

The Megabus carrying at least 60 people crashed around 4:30 a.m. Several people were taken to the hospital.

According to the lawsuit filed it was raining during the ride to Chicago when the bus driver told the passengers that there was a malfunction with the windshield wipers.

An emergency motion was also presented on Wednesday to the judge to have a protective order entered to preserve the bus. This would mean all of the component parts, correspondence between company and bus driver and video recorders on the Megabus will be examined by experts.
