BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Two people suffered knife wounds in Bloomington after they came to the aid of a woman who was being threatened by a man with the weapon.
Police officers searched for that man in a wooded area on the city’s west side for more than two hours after Wednesday evening’s attack, but didn’t immediately find the man.
Police tell The Herald Times the injured man and woman were both alert when they were taken to a Bloomington hospital. They suffered wounds to their sides and arms.
A woman told the newspaper she was retrieving a package from her mailbox when a man on a bicycle grabbed her from behind, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. Others came out of their apartments after the woman screamed.
