30 firefighters battle fire at vacant home in Avon

AVON, Ind. (WISH) – Police said a vacant home was declared a loss after a fire broke out there around 3 p.m. Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the fire at a vacant home at 8200 Ea. C.R. 100 N., in Avon, which was for sale. Crews had the fire under control by about 3:30 p.m., according to 24-Hour News 8’s partners, the Hendricks County Flyer.

Responding to the scene were crews from the Washington Township/Avon Fire Department, the Wayne Township Fire Department, the Brownsburg Fire Territory, and Danville Fire Department. In all, about 30 firefighters were on scene.
