INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Members of the 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command gathered Saturday morning at Fort Ben for a mobilization ceremony.

Dozens of people were on hand for the Casing of the Colors. The event is an Army tradition that symbolizes the movement of a unit from one location to a new location.

Brigadier General Michael Dillard told 24-Hour News 8 about 115 soldiers will mobilize to Fort Hood, Texas for logistical support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The soldiers will oversee active duty soldiers there.

General Dillard says this is the first time ever for a reserve unit going to an active duty post and leading active duty troops on logistical operations.
