INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The longest consecutively running Halloween Festival in the country is in full swing for the 68th year in a row.
The Irvington Halloween Fest kicked off Saturday with a pumpkin carving contest for all ages.
Organizers say it’s just a great way to get the whole family together for some fun.
“It’s really just getting back to the roots in Irvington and we’ve always been huge fans of Halloween and just history in general,” said Tara Elder with the Irvington Halloween Festival.
There are plenty of other things planned for the festival including a week of contests, Halloween-themed movies, storytelling, ghost tours and a lot more.
