HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) — State police say a 42-year-old Hammond woman was killed when the car she was driving overturned on an Interstate 80 off-ramp in her hometown.
Police say the car driven by Trina Harrell went off the road shortly after 6 p.m. Central time Friday, overturned and landed on its roof and landed in waist deep water in a retention pond. She was pronounced at Munster Community Hospital.
State Police Trooper Eric Rot said witnesses described Harrell as driving erratically and at a high rate of speed.
