INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Early Monday morning, gas prices in Indiana reached a statewide low, AAA Hoosier Motor Club said.
According to the club’s records, the statewide average hit $3.023 per gallon of regular unleaded fuel at 3:45 a.m. Monday. That’s the lowest it’s been since Dec. 22, 2010.
Nationally, drivers are paying about $3.10 per gallon, the lowest since Feb. 1, 2011.
AAA attributed lower demand, increased supply and lower crude oil prices for the change. AAA officials also said a more mild hurricane season helped drive down prices.
