Wanted Indy suspect fatally shot in Alabama officer-involved shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man wanted for his involvement in a September shooting was killed during an officer-involved shooting in Alabama.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide investigators were told over the weekend that Adam Madison, 28, was killed during an officer-involved shooting that took place in Warrior, Alabama.

Police say Madison was wanted for his involvement in the shooting of Darrick Johnson, 43, at the Post Pub on Sept. 18. Jonson died of his injuries at Eskenazi Hospital on Oct. 9.

24-Hour News 8’s sister station WIAT-TV reported the officer-involved shooting happened on Friday.

The officer involved was punched in the face a few times, but was treated and released.

WIAT-TV also reports Madison was driving through Warrior when he was pulled over by police.

Other details were not released as of Monday evening.
